THE EVENT
A forum dedicated to financing African projects
The LFOP International Forum is a unique event dedicated to obtaining funding for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the French-speaking Africa zone. Two days to exchange, train and access international funding opportunities.

THE CONTEXT
Why the LFOP Forum?
Since 2020, with the coronavirus pandemic, public authorities have become aware of how important civil-society actors are in supporting government objectives.
Driven by governments' sustainable-development ambitions, civil society has become firmly established in the Western and Eastern parts of the world, while French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa still struggles to integrate into public policy. If West Africa is gaining real momentum, it is because its leaders have understood how important it is to involve civil society in achieving government objectives.
This is why West Africa shows visible, appreciated progress, unlike its Central African counterpart. English-speaking Africa, for its part, is far ahead.
Over two decades, West African civil society has stood out increasingly, fully playing its participatory role in the sustainable development of communities, while Central Africa still struggles to find its place and gain credibility. Where Western governments support civil society, those of Central Africa seem to overlook its contribution.
For puzzling reasons, civil society in Central Africa is relegated to the background. Many organisations fight to find funding for projects that benefit their communities. This quest sometimes forces them, against their will, to accept small, insufficient budgets — which does nothing for their credibility.
Hence the need to give civil society access to safe, reliable and sustainable funding, so it can carry out its projects and thrive in its participatory approach to sustainable development, wherever it operates.
It is in this context that the NGO Tabitha has been working since 2017, with PADOR. It offers civil society a funding solution to remedy the policy of Central African governments that have sidelined it. Through PADOR, the goal is to restore civil society's standing in this part of the continent by offering turnkey funding.
PADOR is an international platform for funding civil-society projects. It has proven itself for some twenty years, particularly in Africa, and focuses on collective projects. Already well established and recognised in many countries, it now opens its doors to actors across French-speaking Africa — and particularly Central Africa — to discover this funding opportunity for their projects.
The questions everyone is asking
Let's Finance Our Projects opens its doors for the first time in Cameroon: to help civil society design and organise its projects, but above all to guide it toward concrete funding. With PADOR, CSOs position themselves as major, essential players in the sustainable development of nations. A forum that provides answers and guarantees the funding of civil-society projects.
Are you a civil-society actor? The time has come — reserve your place now.
